Sarasota, Florida- Thinking about hiring a contractor? Then you will want to turn to a new website set up by Sarasota County that shares information on unlicensed contractors who have been cited for unlicensed activity.

The centralized database will be open to other government jurisdictions such as cities, towns and other counties that want to participate.

Final suspect in home invasion robbery caught

Sarasota, Florida -- The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office has captured the final suspect in a violent home invasion robbery that occurred November 1, 2011 in Sarasota.

In the attack, the male victim was hit in the head and choked until he was nearly unconscious. Another suspect pulled the female victim to the floor by her hair and held a gun to her head. The three men ransacked the home and fled with the gun.
