Longboat Key Garden Club holding fundraiser | Community Spirit

Longboat Key, Florida -- Food, fashion and fun combine at a January fundraiser sponsored by the Longboat Key Garden Club.

The food and fashion show takes place on Jan. 30, 2013, at 5:30 p.m., at the Longboat Key Club, Harbourside.

The cost is $50 per person. You can purchase tickets at Island Pursuit St. Armands, Exit Art-Chart House and Centre Shoppes, LBK Chamber of Commerce, and Design 2000-Whitney Beach.

The event features tasty dishes prepared by more than a dozen local restaurants, while fashions are presented by Island Pursuit.

Money raised from the event helps fund the club's scholarship program for students studying environmental issues. The club also gives grants to local not-for-profit groups involved with environmental projects.
